Josh Hazlewood has taken his first wicket of the day as Virat Kohli again flopped and departed for 3. KL Rahul has now been joined by Rishabh Pant as three-down India need a solid partnership. On the other hand, the Australia bowlers are eyeing some quick wickets, in order to dominate the game. Earlier, top knock from Travis Head and Steve Smith propelled Australia to 445 against India.

Asked to bat first, Australia dominated the proceedings and comfortably got an upper hand over the Indian bowlers. The first day was marred with rain but the on second day, Head once again became India’s nightmare and hammered 152 runs. Apart from Steve Smith also fought against his lean patch and scored a ton. Later, Alex Carey gave the final touch with his 70-run knock.

The incessant rain at the Gabba has forced the umpires to call stumps on Day 1. Indian bowlers are yet to taste success after 13,2 overs as the conditions haven’t been as threatening as captain Rohit Sharma expected at the toss. Australia finished the day on 28/0 with Usman Khawaja (19*) and Nathan McSweeney (4*) at the crease.

This is going out of hand now as it begins to drizzle again. The match has been halted as India’s score read 39/3 in 13 overs. KL Rahul (21*) and Rishabh Pant (9*) standing unbeaten for India. This Test is turning out to be a disaster for both Team India and fans.

The loss of three quick wickets have shaken India’s confidence against the formidable bowling attack of Australia. However, the hopes are still on as KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant are standing unbeaten. In the previous over of Mitchell Starc, the duo scores four runs. They need a couple of boundaries in the upcoming overs.

Pat Cummins to Rishabh Pant, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Pat Cummins strikes in the first over after the resumption! Cummins dismisses Pant for the third time in the series. Stays over the wicket for the left-hander and gets the ball to leave the batter, on a length, on off, Pant is drawn forward and he tries to defend it by keeping his bat close to the front pad. There is just enough movement that results in the ball grazing the outside edge and the keeper Alex Carey does the rest. India in further strife.
