Rippling Co-Founder’s Wife Accuses Him Of Sex With Escorts, Forcing Her For Open Marriage: Report

Weeks after Rippling co-founder Prasanna Sankar accused his wife of infidelity, the latter has reportedly alleged her husband was involved with sex outside of marriage and forced her to accept an open marriage.

According to a report with The San Francisco Standard, Prasanna’s wife Dhivya Sashidhar’s court documents, emails, photos, and other records were accessed.

Dhivya also appeared for a personal interview with The San Francisco Standard, wherein she, according to the report, opened up on how her husband forced her into sex, indulged with prostitutes, spied on her, and filmed her during her daily activities, including in the bathroom.

She alleged her husband dragged her and their young son from country to country to shield his immense wealth from taxation.

Earlier, Prasanna, in his social media posts, had revealed he had been married to Dhivya for 10 years and they have a nine-year-old son. He also alleged his wife was involved in an affair with another man and shared purported screenshots of her texts and hotel bookings with the other person, whom he identified as Anoop.

Prasanna had also alleged harassment by the Chennai Police in a false child abduction case.

The couple is now fighting for the legal custody of their son.

According to the report, Dhivya alleged Prasanna forced her into sex even when she was experiencing pain from childbirth complications, and threatened consequences if she failed to fulfil his desires.

“Prasanna would come and tell me, ‘Look, sex is a primal need for me. You have to do it. It doesn’t matter, like, you know, how much pain you’re in,” Dhivya revealed.

“He would literally, like, tell me that, you know, ‘If you don’t do it, then I want to go outside and get it,” the report claimed she testified.

In a December 2019 email to Dhivya, Prasanna described contacting several escorts to ask for photos and rates, before getting cold feet.

“I’m super sorry for the stress this put on our marriage. I promise to never put our marriage in this position again,” he wrote.

In another email from the same day, he asked Dhivya for an open marriage.

Asked about his messages, Sankar told The Standard via email that his marriage was “sexless” at the time, and he “had several conversations with her to understand why this was the case.”

“I, once in a moment of anger, discussed about opening up the marriage to other sexual partners,” he wrote. “We agreed not to do it.”

Sankar moved his family to California in 2020, allegedly in a bid to avoid California tax. At that time, Dhivya was employed with Microsoft and working remotely, the report claimed.

In one of her statements to the court, Dhivya also alleged her husband would force her to take time off from work to have sex with him, failing which he would threaten to find other partners.
